Lessons are $60 for 30 minutes and $100 for 60 minutes. I offer a discounted monthly package — 4 one-hour lessons for $360 (save $40). A $25 deposit is required to book your first session, applied to the balance at the lesson. All major payment apps accepted (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App).
In-person: Just bring your bass and a cable. An amp is helpful but not required — I can bring a small practice amp if needed. A tuner (clip-on or app) is useful.

Zoom: Your bass, a way to plug into your computer or phone (audio interface recommended but not required), and a stable internet connection. We'll sort out audio together in the first session.
Life happens — no judgment. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the deposit, but I'm happy to reschedule rather than cancel when possible. Repeated no-shows may require pre-payment in full.
Zoom lessons work surprisingly well for bass. Here's how to get the best experience:

1. Use headphones to prevent echo.
2. In Zoom settings, go to Audio → Advanced and enable "Original Sound for Musicians" — this disables noise suppression so your bass sounds natural.
3. An audio interface (like the Focusrite Scarlett Solo) gives much better sound, but a direct phone mic works for beginners.
4. I'll send you a Zoom link when I confirm your booking.
Absolutely. I teach students ages 8 and up, and love working with complete beginners — there's no such thing as starting too late or too early. For younger students (under 12), a short-scale bass is recommended and a parent is welcome to sit in. No prior music reading ability is required; we can work with tabs, ear training, or traditional notation depending on your goals.
